Event Details

As the wheel of the year turns, we arrive at a threshold — the day when the veil between worlds grows thin. Across cultures and lineages, this is a time to honor those who walked before us, to remember, to give thanks, and to listen for the quiet wisdom that moves through the dark.

You are warmly invited to join us for an ancestral prayer circle weaving together the spirit of Celtic Samhain and Mexican Día de Muertos — two traditions that remind us that death is not the end, but a doorway.

When: Saturday, November 1, from 1pm til 7pm
Where: Paul and Channing’s DC home, address shared upon registration
What to bring:

  • A photo or small item representing ancestors, beloved dead, cultural lineage to place on the shared altar–more flowers are also always appreciated, too!
  • A poem, story, prayer, or song to share (sharing is totally optional!)
  • A potluck item if you want to stay to share a meal from 6-7pm

Together we will:
🍄‍🟫 Cross the threshold into a ceremonial space with a light dose of the niños
✨ Share prayers, songs, and stories
🕯️ Offer light, food, and memory to the altar
🌾 Bless the year to come as the old year falls away

Please RSVP here. If you haven’t signed a membership agreement with us yet, please keep an eye out for that form in your inbox. Space is very limited, so please only RSVP if you feel committed to joining us.

This is a no-cost offering of gratitude to our DC congregation, whose roots found fertile soil this past year. If you would like to donate to support our mission, you can do so here. If you become a Supporting Member, you can attend our upcoming nature walks, breathwork sessions, book clubs for free

May our gathering be a bridge of light between worlds. May the blessings of those who came before guide our steps forward.
